Broad View Digest is a free, independent publication. To keep our content free for everyone, we earn revenue through advertising, affiliate partnerships, and occasional sponsorships. We believe you deserve to know exactly how that works, so this page explains every way money flows through our site and how we keep it separate from our editorial decisions.
How We Make Money
Broad View Digest earns revenue in three main ways:
- Display advertising: ads shown on our pages and in our newsletters
- Affiliate links: commissions when readers buy products through links in our articles
- Sponsored content: clearly labeled articles or newsletter features paid for by a brand
None of these change what we write, which products we recommend, or how we rate them.
Affiliate Links
Many of our articles mention beauty, skincare, wellness, fitness, and lifestyle products. When we link to a retailer, such as Amazon, Sephora, Ulta, or a brand’s own store, that link may be an affiliate link. If you click it and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission from the retailer.
You never pay more. The price you pay is exactly the same whether you use our link or go to the retailer directly. The commission comes from the retailer, not from you.
Broad View Digest participates in affiliate programs that may include, among others, the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn fees by linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases.
Affiliate partners do not pay for placement in our articles, do not review our content before publication, and have no say in our opinions. We recommend products because we believe they are worth considering, not because of the commission. In many cases we also feature products that earn us nothing at all.
Display Advertising
We work with third-party advertising networks that place ads on our site and in our emails. These ads may be selected based on the page you are viewing or your browsing interests, using cookies and similar technologies. Free Products & Samples
Brands and PR agencies sometimes send us free products to review. Accepting a sample does not guarantee coverage, and it never guarantees a positive review. When a product we write about was provided free of charge, we say so in the article.
Our Editorial Independence
Our editors and writers decide what we cover and what we say about it. Advertisers, affiliate partners, and sponsors cannot buy positive coverage, influence our ratings, or remove critical opinions. Commercial relationships are managed separately from editorial work.
